Marie Sutherland showed up in the GoG 'hood a few days ago on the D'mala shard (where else?) to announce that the DRC was looking to take on 5 explorers as official DRC liaisons. Details on what that job would entail have been sketchy at best, and to perhaps make matters worse, the DRC want nothing to do with the actual selection of the liaisons, opting instead to leave it to the community to puzzle out.

Needless to say, there's been a flurry of conversation on UO, and most especially on the DRC forums, about how to go about nominating people, whether people can nominate themselves, how voting should be performed, whether there should be term limits, and even whether this is even a good idea at all. Things have begun to quiet down a little and get somewhat more organized, but we're still in the early stages of setting this up, so feedback and input is always welcome. If you've got a thought on how to go about this, or if you'd like to put yourself up for the job, head on over to the DRC forums, as that seems to be where most of the action is taking place.
