For some reason or another, my PotS CD got scratched, and my computer can no longer read it. When I was on the Great Tree forum, one of the members told me that if I submit my CD key and pictures of the scratches, I can hopefully convince Cyan to send me a new one. Is this possible?

There should be an Ubi policy regarding replacement of scratched discs... I'll see if I can find the info on that and get back to you. I don't think Cyan would be the ones replacing the scratched discs since they're not in charge of distribution and haven't heard it suggested anywhere else.

Here's an entry in
Ubi's support pages with instructions on replacing damaged CDs...

That's why I make a backup copy of all of my multimedia, game, etc. CDs and DVDs. Especially after I had a similar problem and the publisher declared to me: "Sorry, we do not deal with three years old applications anymore"...

Sometimes copied CD's don't work, though. I have tried in the past to make backup copies of disks to use, so I could put my originals away - just to find out that the copy doesn't work at all.
