Well, after 18 months, it seemed pretty obvious that this was the case, but it's been officiated now. The Exile DVD edition has indeed been canceled.
But I still want my plush Squee!

Oh...that's too bad! I don't have a DVD on my computer...but I'm sure it would've been really nice to have that format!
Are there really any 'plush squees' on the market?

No, the plush squee was also canceled, in favor of the pewter ones that came in the CD Collectors Edition. If I recall correctly, the plan was for the plushie to be made available via a mail-in form with the DVD CE, but obviously that's not gonna happen.

Well, I was so impressed with that one that I sent to a stranger in Ireland and paid over $3.00 to mail it to him.

I've no idea what the plans are for the console versions of the game. I would imagine the XBOX release is still on target, but as for the other consoles (and PS2 being the only other one that would carry a Myst game, Nintendo doesn't have a big history with the series...), I've no clue.

Al, I was in touch with Presto this week, and yesterday I received an e-mail which said Presto had offically closed its doors as of this week! Perhaps that contributed to Exile's cancellation.
Pewter figure?? How'd you get that?

Pooh! :pout:

Nope, the DVD was strictly UbiSoft's decision to continue or cancel, as everything that needed development in Exile has been done for 18 months.
And I was going to make an announcement about Presto, but I think you beat me to it. Well, I'll do it anyway, after I get home from work.
