As promised, the DPWR.NET store, in association with Amazon.com, is now open for business. Currently there isn't much in the store at all, but if you have suggestions for other items you would like to see added, I'll be able to put them up fairly quickly now, as the store is somewhat fully automated (as opposed to the hand-coded nightmare it was before...). If you have any feedback about the Store (especially if you've found something broken), or suggestions for items you'd like to see, feel free to drop me a line.

Enjoy, guys!

Also, a couple of minor housekeeping updates... I'm working on the Old News page next, because it's insanely long and takes forever to load or find anything useful. So, it gets the special treatment next. Also, I did a bit of banging around and managed to get non-forum page titles to appear in the browser's title bar, so now while browsing the Archive, the bar will read "DPWR.NET Information Archive -> Ages", for example. Just a bit of increased usability smile.gif.

Again, enjoy the store, and if you've got any feedback for me about anything on the site, I'd love to hear from you!

Fixed broken link. :runs:

To order something through your store, do we need to click on the amazon button? Is that how this site gets 'credited' with a purchase?

also...can we go ahead and make a pre-order for Uru, using your store?

smile.gif Nice store btw!

No, you can just click the link next to the word "Purchase:". The Amazon.com button is a link to the amazon.com homepage (which would rather defeat the purpose of specifically listing stuff wink.gif) which, assuming the rules haven't changed, is still required on any amazon.com associated store. Both links include the store's tracking ID, but the product link is far more convenient wink.gif.

That's why it's there wink.gif.

Ah! Okay...I see it now! smile.gif

I didn't realize it was a link to purchase...I think I moused over the word 'Purchase' and missed it completely. As a suggestion...maybe you could place the purchasing link in the images of the products?

Added a link to buy an item to the image of the item, and moved the text link to the word "Purchase"... and here I thought I was getting good at this user interface design stuff tongue.gif wink.gif. I'll be working on other general cosmetics to improve the appearance of the page over the next few weeks, but other sections of the site are currently moving up on the priority list as we get closer to Uru's release. I'll have more on that in a new news post.

I've also expanded the selection of items in the store considerably (it's SO much easier to do now, yay!). There are a number of items in the store that you might only be able to find in Amazon.com's Marketplace, but I figured I'd add them anyway, on the off chance that their status changes. I have not added the Exile soundtrack yet, as it's no longer being sold at Amazon (probably Ubi's doing, they want it bought through them no doubt).

Of special note is the inclusion of Inkarri, Ryan Miller's first novel. It was released earlier this year, and I can personally attest to the fact that it's a great read. I strongly recommend it to anyone with an open slot in their reading list.
