Real Life Myst in China, I live in China and I found a gigantic place that looks like Myst.

So I know I don't actually use this forum at all, but I don't know any way to find people who are into Myst (who are the people I think would appreciate this the most). When I was young I was really into Myst, I loved the concepts of it and the exploration and puzzle solving. The exploration and sense of discovery was definitely my favorite aspect.

Now I'm a teacher in China so I get to explore things all over. It's very different in China so it's constant discovery all the time. There was one place in China that I had always wanted to visit, more than any place in the country: it's called Shilin (aka The Stone Forest).

It's basically as awesome as that title implies and I thought Myst fans would appreciate it:

I just thought it was way sweet and that myst people would think it was cool cause that's what I was feeling the whole time I was there.

shorah, fantastic photos! Thank you for sharing them. I wonder if the area is lit up at night? If so, it would resemble the crystal viewer area of the islands at night seen in Rime.
