Both the standard and Collectors Edition boxes of End of Ages are now available for pre-order on Ubi's European shop.

It should be noted that the European standard edition is on DVD-ROM and is hybrid-format, so it looks like the PC-only CD version only affects US customers. It should also be noted that the European CE has different goodies than the US version. Goodies are as follows:
  • 25 minutes Making-of
  • Game soundtrack
  • Game trailers
  • Exclusive collector booklet (152 pages) including:
    • Intro from Rand Miller
    • Exclusive world-premiering preview of the new Myst book (“The Book of Marrim”, written by Rand Miller).
    • D’ni language grammar & dictionary
    • Previous Myst games overview
    • Artwork gallery
The standard edition ships for £29.99 (49,99 €), and the Collectors Edition ships for £34.99 (59,99 €).

Personally, I think the CE box is incredibly cool, and continues the European CE concept of making the boxes look like Books, which was introduced for the Revelation CE. I want one!

Ok, so I ordered the CE - too good to pass up. But it ain't cheap! Order came to 59.99 English pounds or $107USD. That includes $44 for shipping and handling - there is only one choice given and that is Express!! eyebrow.gif

It's called a European Collector's Edition for a reason...

You could potentially get it in the US, but only if you know someone in Europe willing to ship it to you (or if you're willing to wait and try to find it on eBay).

...or do what asa did, and just fork out the big bucks (including the big S/H charge) to get it. If you're a hardcore collector, then that wouldn't be an issue. smile.gif

Well, I've ordered mine today - though if you go straight to Ubi's UK website, you can't order it - you need to follow the link that Alahmnat posted to La Boutique Ubisoft (which is in French), click on the UK flag which takes you to a storefront, then use the Back key on your browser to get the pre-ordering information in English.

The goodies sound terrific, although I'm now wondering if the game soundtrack promised will be the complete soundtrack - which it wasn't for either CEs of Revelation and Uru. But that concern also applies to the LE. So fingers crossed it's the complete soundtrack.

I've just realised that I forgot to say: thanks, Alahmnat! For posting the info and link - it's much appreciated.

Endings are just another form of beginning, I guess. The harder an end is to face, the more hope we can bring with us to the next beginning. Atrus

I'm sure I saw somewhere that the European CE (LE, whatever) *wasn't* going to have the soundtrack in it, that that was exclusively for the US LE.

If it is in there, then yay. Now all we need is the Revelation soundtrack released over here...

It won't be on its own CD, odds are it'll be in .mp3 format on the DVD itself. The official word still hasn't come in on just how much of the soundtrack comes with the UK CE.
