The Guild of Greeters has produced a very, very special movie. You have to see this and you have to make sure that others see it. This is not not just about Uru, and yet it is.

Anne, Fall: The Uru story really is a human story, isn't it? All that effort that went into making the game, the beta testing, getting the game online for those precious few months of testing Prologue, then the heartbreak of having it all put to bed, all the angst and anger in the weeks that followed. The grassroots efforts to keep interest in the single player expansions. And in the background a community that has existed since Myst holds together and even grows. And now special members show their courage. Fittingly Uru is responsible. It gathered us, it made us tell of the paths we have taken. Its created a very powerful force. Pretty impressive for a few pixels on a screen!

The end of URU made me very sorry that I never applied to be a beta tester. I thought that it would be too time-consuming, now I'm sorry I didn't. :cries: The testers got in more time than anyone else.
