The canadates
Sirrus : A man whos lust for riches and power went undetected by Atrus himself. His intilect and bursts of rage makes him a worthy villain.
Achinar : A man who enjoyed torture and destruction that also went undetected by Atrus himself. His insainity and destructive force makes him a very dangerous person.
Gehn : A man trapped for thirty years by his own son. His views are warped and empty hearted. His knowledge and control of the world of Riven makes his turf dangerous and lightly treaded.
Saveedro : a man exiled for twenty years from his home world into one strange and unknown caused him to slip into a fog of insainity that drove him to boobytrap the Lesson Ages. He will do anything to keep you from your goal.
What's this? A Page. Oh no!

I thought I was the only devious one in the family. No Book Father? No Linking Book Home?!?
I deleted your duplicate post with the spelling error.

And I'm moving it to the Myst discussion forum

Be the storyteller
Don't worry, even Rand can't say my name right.
Saveedro isn't villain. He's misunderstood. My vote goes for Sirrus!
Forgive me for bumping this - I mean it was on the second page.
Actually, I believe that Saavedro is a really nice guy who has been forced to desperation out of exile. I'm sure no one would ever want to see Achenar face-to-face in Myst/RealMyst, but yet I still would have voted Sirrus. I had only played Riven then, but now that I read BOA, I realize just how mad and evil Gehn really is. I voted for him.
Grrr! That was hard. Gehn really scared me, but I loved the depth of his character. Saavedro had a really deep character that I also was really scared of, and Achenar was just funny scary-wouldn't-want-to-meet guy, but I love Sirrus the best. It was so hard to choose, though, because I love the 'bad guys' more than the good guys! I've only played the first 3 games and read the three books, so I can't base my vote on games after Exile.
If Saavedro had only not had that American accent that just completely annihilated his ability to be intimidating or impressive. Ah well.

I agree. A little too....office-like.
I went for Gehn, because his mind is just that warped, thinking he was a god after all.
