I'm running a quick test to see if people can see PNG images before I go using them to make a great deal of the images on this site. Â Due to a stupid issue with MIME types in posts, it's not possible to add PNG files to a post using the [img] tag, so I've attached a file below. Â Let me know if you can see it by using the poll above.
Thanks.

Al, I've clicked on the image but I can't seem to gain access to any file. Is it the image that I click on?

No, I want to see if you can see the image I attached. If you can, vote "yes". If you can't, vote "no".

 it won't let me vote no  It says I already voted
--------------------
Ahh, yes . . . I can see it, Al! AND I voted yes! Can it get any better? ;)
Now we all know who Al's favorite is! MWAHAHAHAHA!! :miw:
--------------------
If we couldn't see the image would we see anything?
I saw something so voted yes :D

Any day above ground is a good day
Umm, was that supposed to be two little people, or was I supposed to be able to click on it to see something else??

There's a picture under the words "attached image" if you saw that, vote yes.
For some reason IE6 won't allow a 24-bit PNG file to have a transparent background though, so I'm probably going to scrap the idea. Opera and NS6 show the transparent background though, so I'm confused. Stupid IE.

I see the image Al....and I use IE6....or are you referring to the blue-ish background around the 'people' ??
*can't remember if I voted or not!*

If you voted, it won't let you vote again. That would defeat the purpose of a poll.
IE6 uses a pretty crummy extension to display PNG images, and it's buggy as all heck, so it doesn't correctly display transparency (plus Windows editions prior to 2000 have trouble with complex transparency anyway). I'm dropping the idea because IE (which most people are using to connect to this site according to the weblogs) is so horrid at displaying PNGs.

I don't know Al...
I use IE6, and I can see what looks like a person (blue) with a shadow person in the background (to the right) and a shadowd box around both images.
--------------------
Yes, the gray box should NOT be there, it should be transparent, hence the problem.
