When I tried to access the user CP from the "My Controls" button, the link would not work at all. I had to go to Inbox to reach the UCP to change my avatar settings... is this a problem on my end, or is it truly a broken button?

It should create a pop-out menu overlay with a collection of options in it, and it's working on my machine. If it's not, try clearing your cache and reloading the page; the overlay is generated via JavaScript and you may have a missing/corrupt version of the file containing the script that's messing with your browser's ability to generate the menu. Can you open other pop-out menus on the forum, such as the one you get when clicking on the Options button at the top-right of a forum or thread?

Beyond that, browser/version/extensions (if you're using Firefox)? Do you have JavaScript disabled?

My Controls link (at top of page) hasn't worked for me since the last forum upgrade (in IE7), so I do the same thing, just click on the messages link and I'm taken to the same options on the left side of the page. It works okay in FF, but not in IE7. smile.gif

That is interesting. It works for me at work with my portable Firefox. I'll have to check when I get home, but I think it's still broken in IE7. Plus even going through the inbox to get to it, I can't change anything with IE. I tried to change my Yahoo Messenger ID and it wouldn't let me. Never occurred to me to try it with Firefox. But it did work for me today.

I wonder if this is a problem with IE7?

What isn't? tongue.gif Looks like it still isn't working in the IE8 beta either. I'll have to do some investigating on this, because naturally, it works in every other browser...
