I sort of think that it was everyone's fault. Ti'ana made everyone in D'ni go crazy. Then A'gaeris was the one who made Veovis hate D'ni so much. Suahrnir who A'gaeris and Veovis to eachother. Veovis actually created the fall. And Aitrus should not have met with A'gaeris after getting the annonymous letter.

Though I also agree with Exziler in that A'Gaeris was guilty, I would say that Ti'ana made the final action. By sparing Veovis, she invested her compassion in the wrong place. It is said that if you have pity on the criminal, you have no pity on the one whom the crime was committed against.

But do you know who really dealt the final blow to D'ni?

I believe you. But why else would Yeesha and the Words of the Watcher call her the Bringer of Destruction?

I may be the only one who chose other but if you read BoT you find that A'Gaeris may himself have been framed. He was expeled from the guilds over a missing book which he insisted was never missing or that if it was he had nothing to do with it. Just as Veovis getting framed planted the seed in him that bore fruit in his later actions, so too a similar event in A'Garris' history may have planted the seed that would cause his later actions. Perhaps had A'Gaeris never been expeled over a missing book then D'ni would not have fallen.

Yes, I have thought of that before too. It's strange how it all leads back to everyone accusing one another.

Framed or not, here's my theory.

Veovis was a nice little guildsman, like Aitrus, but when he found out that Aitrus was teaching the "outsider" the art, he was no longer Aitrus' friend. So then, what happened is Suahrnir gave his friend an idea. A'gaeris could help Veovis get revenge on D'ni for letting Ti'ana in. But why? A'gaeris wanted revenge on his expulsion, and I actually believe that he was partially mad. Two minds are better then one, yes? To get Veovis even madder to be certain that he would help him, A'gaeris framed Veovis by killing the guildsmen and leaving Veovis' knife there. He helped Veovis escape his prison age, and then they were starting their attack, but Ti'ana stopped them. Once again, A'gaeris helped Veovis escape his prison age. How? The book was going to be burned, right? Well, here's what I think happened based on one of the archive entries, although I maynot be entirley correct:

A'gaeris made himself look exactly like Veovis - and then went ot his prison age while it was still in the making. He made a linking book, and then linked to the prison age after Veovis did. It was to be witnissed by all, so he had to make himslef look like Veovis, so everyone would think that it was some sort of "afterward - mirroring affect". Then the two of them escaped and immidiatley killed D'ni.

I blame A'gaeris, for all of the reasons listed above. He had a hold on Veovis. Also, working without A'gaeris, we know that Veovis spared sending the virus to Aitrus' Age, so he has a heart after all.
