The Vivarium of D'ni is looking for volunteers from the age creators' community, Cyantists, and all those who are interested in D'ni librarianship. We have received an invitation from Cyan's RAWA to submit a proposed system of D'ni library classification & cataloguing methods to organize a growing collection of Cyan and fan-based content. If they like it, it will be used as the means to organize and describe ages and related material as well as be considered as canon knowledge of D'ni librarianship. Discussions have already begun on the Agebuilder forums if you want to learn more.

Our first meeting is taking place this Saturday at 3pm Eastern (Noon Pacific), in the Vivarium of D'ni neighbourhood on the D'mala shard and on each subsequent Saturday for the next three months to complete our work. We'll be looking forward to meeting those interested there.

Shorah,
Myridean

Wh is this site called the Vivarium of the D'ni? It proclaims itself as a library advocacy group for the advancement of D'ni cybrarianship. But a vivarium is an indoor enclosure for keeping and raising living animals and plants and observing them under natural conditions. Are they implying that the books are alive?

Hello, I just wanted to report that today's first meeting was a great success. A chatlog, graciously supplied by Geron can be read on our Agebuilder forums. We were sorry to not see any Cyan representation at the meeting today but it's still not too late to participate.

PS - As to why we are called the Vivarium of D'ni, we have had this question before. We're helping to rebuild the forums there after they've been hacked so I'm a bit busy trying to restore our threads. However, if you check out this thread that was originally posted on the Lyst almost a year ago and was reposted on the Agebuilders forum (or read our website for that matter), you'll be more enlightened as to the reason why instead of thinking of us as so obtuse. tongue.gif

I thought it was going to be something fishy. tongue.gif No, seriously. That's quite informative.
