Hey ya'll,
I was wondering: does anyone know how to bind a book? Sewing a book together: I mean, is there a certain tecnique to it and all?
If anyone knows how, could you tell me? I want to know because I'd like to make hard cover journals and linking books, but I want to bind it the right way. I'd really appreciate it biggrin.gif.

There are a lot of results in Google, but you might want to start with contacting a fellow-DPWR member, esteban, he has some experience in book-binding. Check out his thread posted HERE.

Don't worry, I will biggrin.gif. Thanks for the tip though lego_addict.
I found a site that's helpful, but I'm still going to wait on esteban's reply to a PM I sent him to see if he knows anything that could help me out.

What site did you find, Naigahsehn?

(By the way, is "13" an acceptable nickname?biggrin.gif)

(But 13's my favourite number biggrin.gif! I think it's a great nickname!)

Oh, I just looked up "book binding" on google and I clicked on one of the links and it led to a pretty detailed page all about it. I just can't remember it's name... I'll find it again later.

I found the site that I couldn't remember before, along with another. Here's one:

Book Binding

The other can be found here:

How to Make a Simple Hard Cover Book

The last one here is a lot less detailed than the other, but both are helpful for anyone wanting to make Hard Cover Books. Enjoy biggrin.gif

Shorah, everyone!!!!

Good news: finally got a place to set my tutorials for bookmaking.
They will be in flash so they take up less space.I will also be placing
some tutorials on paper casts and making reed/bamboo pens and some
dni letter/numbers quiz.

Right now the site is empty since i got it yesterday, but it will start to fill out this week.

www.gobm.epur.com.ar

If anyone wants to contribute and make some tutorials please let me know!

See you all soon at the Guild of Bookmakers !

Esteban

I've attempted making my own books before this, without much success, but now, I think that I will really be able to create my own Journals and things. (I'm a "book person") I Love blank books, for some weird reason, and carry one with me at most times.
