Hello Colleagues,
I bumped into Monkeyboy the other night in the cavern and he seems to have continued interest in SAPS. As we chatted he expressed his frustration that all we really do is publish articles outside the cavern but we have no real in-cavern presence. This is a good point. We can revive the discussion series, but that was more on the periphery of the purpose of this group. What can we do that is very SAPS in the cavern?
I'll give a short list to start off:
host lectures (The Bahro Wars in Light of the Human History of Liberation)
give tours of Ages that focus on SAPS relevant information or speculation (Gahreesen: An Anthropological Perspective)
host discussion that are relevant to our core purpose (Kadish: lunatic or visionary?)
stage discussions amongst ourselves in public places (" I must disagree with your findings, Reginald!")
be active on the DRC Site forums
Okay now for your ideas.
H

Interesting ideas to the say the least! I'll have to think of something...
I do like the discussion bit. Could easily hold a forum on certain subjects of D'ni Sociology or Psychology, or from an Anthropological perspective of say, architecture.
To continue Monkeyboy's idea, ask explorers that would come to our discussions to give us their insight on the issue even though they are not specialists, trying to bring them into the fold... if they recurring participants in these discussions, maybe they'd like to join SAPS...
After the discussions, use the chat log to make a report or a summary of the discussion and publish it (GoMe news feed, Archiver article, forum posting)
