[float=left][attachment=963:Small_logo_copy.png][/float]The Guild of Messengers is one of the five guilds that the DRC has encouraged and supported the restoration of. Their primary duty is to promote and facilitate communication both between explorers and between the DRC and the explorers.

The DRC has stated in their information in Kirel that "in the future, we hope that the new Guild of Messengers will be able to organize communications for explorers and the DRC. We hope to create a system whereby the Guild can carry out announcements, news events, important messages, and the like for all of those who visit the cavern."

The Guild of Messengers, often referred to as GoMe, has spent several months drawing together the major messaging organizations in the cavern, but recently it developed an internal staff with its projects.

The DRC was able to open a pub specific to the Guild of Messengers, and all who have picked up their t-shirt in Kirel have access to it through the nexus system. Outside of the cavern they may be found at http://www.guildofmessengers.com

The Guild of Messengers currently conducts elections for the members of the Guild Council. The Council members and responsibities are listed on the Guild's Guild Council Structure page.

Shorah,
I'll try to keep this very short. I couldn't find help on submitting feedback/changes to articles in the Archive. I hope this is the correct place to do it. I didn't find any protocols regarding 'how to' on archival documents.
The article here needs a small change with regard to the statement about Guild Elections, to whit;

"The Guild of Messengers currently conducts elections for members of the Guild Council semi-annually. The Council members and repsonsibities are listed on Guild Council Structure"

Thanks, and one other thing.. while hunting protocols for editing/changing archive data, I found two (2) Private Messages instructions on the Help Page.

Any registered member can edit an article in the Archive, and the system works the same way the forum does. All changes are tracked, just like a Wiki, so there's no need to worry about losing something. Just click on the "Edit Article" button at the top of the page, make your changes, and hit the Update button at the bottom of the form smile.gif.

I've gone ahead and updated the article for you, and I will look into the duplicate PM instructions on the help page. Thanks for the heads up.

Oh you are a very trusting soul Alahmnat. cool.gif
Thanks for the help and the response. I thought it better to ask first, edit second. than the other way around. This is not my turf and though I looked, I didn't find instructions on the gate.
Thanks for permission to edit, I will endeavor to step lightly. smile.gif

Hehe, to be fair, I'm only trusting because all changes are tracked, so there's a quick and easy back-up solution in place in case something gets completely hosed by a well-meaning editor smile.gif. Before I moved everything into the current setup, someone on the DPWR staff (usually me) was needed to actually edit an article, because everything was just built on top of the forum's topic/post system and article editing was irreversible.

Removed the attached image that was no longer being used. Good edit Leonardo, just some technical thing you didn't do. All better now.
