Kortee'nea are blank Books, waiting to be Written. In the Book of Atrus, Atrus' first trip to the city of Ae'gura with Gehn is an expedition to find kortee'nea. Atrus finds 8 of them in a storeroom in the Common Library in the District of J'Taeri. On the same expedition, they collect ink and pens for the writing of Descriptive Books and Linking Books.

It should be noted that kortee'nea is a plural word, and should not be used to refer to a single blank Book. Based on D'ni grammar, the proper singular form of the word would be kor'nea. It should also be noted that, although the phrasing is unclear, the Book of Ti'ana implies that kortee'nea have no Linking Panels.
