The GoA Projects page lists any and all active projects currently being worked on by the Guild. Each project is given a name, a general completion rating from 0 to 5 (5 being complete), an urgency rating from 1 to 5 (1 being most urgent), an indication of how much additional help is needed to complete the project ("unlimited" means that assistance is requested from anyone, regardless of Guild affiliation), and finally a brief summary with links to relevant discussions in the forum. Please note that these projects are in no particular order at the moment. Someone more organizationally minded is welcome to arrange them differently.
Targeted Projects
These are projects with definite, attainable goals that have an expected resolution and guidelines for completion. If applicable, a Targeted Project will be moved to Ongoing Projects if it requires ongoing maintenance or other upkeep.
Chat Log Project
Status: Planning
Completeness: 0
Urgency: 3
Help Needed: unlimited
References: The Chat Log Project
Because of the extremely chat-based nature of the plot in Uru Live: Prologue and especially Myst Online: Uru Live, the preservation of chat logs from the game is vital to its survival and retelling. To that end, the GoA is seeking any chat logs from the game that contain discussions with DRC members and other major players in the story. Further information about this project and our intent to collaborate with the Guild of Messengers on this front is available in this topic on the forums.
User-Created Content Tags
Status: Planning
Completeness: 0.5
Urgency: 2
Help Needed: unlimited
References: Covering the Extended Universe
Because the inclusion of user-created content in MORE will be considered an extension of D'ni canon, a more granular approach to the concept of canon needs to be applied to the Archive if the GoA is going to be able to support an additional layer of complexity. To that end, new tags have been created under the main tag "Canon": Official Canon, Extended Universe, Redacted, and Apocrypha. Official Canon applies to all content released by Cyan in the games, novels, and other media (such as forum posts) that has not been contradicted by newer material. Extended Universe will be the storehouse for all user-created content in MORE. Redacted will apply to any officially-released material that has later been contradicted by either a newer game or a direct statement from a Cyan employee to the contrary (aka "Word of God" statements). Apocrypha only applies to material released as official material, but which is in fact inaccurate or otherwise not actually representative of actual canon (for instance: the content from the Riven Journals website and the MYST Comic Books is considered Apocryphal). Further information about this project can be found in this topic in the forums.
Citations
Status: Planning Complete
Completeness: 0
Urgency: 2
Help Needed: unlimited
References: Citation Guidelines
Virtually every article currently in the Archive could do with some bibliographic improvements. Horatio has been heading up a planning thread to discuss the implementation of citations in Archive entries, and that guideline is now complete; it just needs to be implemented in existing articles. More information and discussion is available in this topic on the forums. the completed citation guidelines can be found here.
Ages Sidebar

Urgency: 5
Help Needed: unlimited
References: Guidelines for Submissions
Existing entries on Ages in the Archive need to be updated to include the information noted in the Guidelines for Submissions section on Ages.
People Sidebar
Status: Planning Complete
Completeness: 0
Urgency: 5
Help Needed: unlimited
References: Guidelines for Submissions
Existing entries on people in the Archive need to be updated to include the information noted in the Guidelines for Submissions section on people.
Duplicate Articles on Kings
Status: Planning Complete
Completeness: 0
Urgency: 2
Help Needed: unlimited
References: Duplicate Articles On Kings
As part of the ongoing Archive clean-up project, entries for D'ni Kings in the People section of the Archive should link to the DRC Research article on the King and provide any additional information if available, rather than replicating that content in both articles. Further, the DRC Research article on the King should have the word "Notebook" appended to the end of it to further the distinction between the two articles and make them easier to tell apart in a search. This work is in addition to that required under the People Sidebar project.
FCAL Panel
Status: Planning
Completeness: 2
Urgency: 2
Help Needed: unlimited
References: FCA license panel: any GoA volunteers?
The GoA is currently working with other Guilds to develop the Fan Created Age Licensing Panel in conjunction with Cyan. If you are interested in volunteering to assist the GoA by participating in this discussion, please see this topic in the forums.
Group Pages
Status: Proposed
Completeness: 0
Urgency: 4
Help Needed: group members
References: Post in GoA Seeking Project Managers, Guild Liaisons
As part of an effort to increase the discoverability of content, community organizations, and projects, the Guild of Archivists is asking members of other organizations to ensure that their group is accurately represented in the Archive by creating or expanding an entry in the Groups tag by describing it and linking directly to the group's website, as well as any projects their group is working on.
Cross-linking Information
Status: Proposed
Completeness: 0
Urgency: 4
Help Needed: n/a
In an effort to create an inter-connected network of information that spans across multiple Guild sites, the Guild of Archivists is currently working on a project to cross-link to other sites with additional relevant information from specific content pages (for example, the entry on Kadish Tolesa would link to the Cartographers' map for Kadish, as well as the Greeters' walkthrough for the Age; user-created Ages would link to the Age's project section on the Writers' site). These cross-links would be badged with some form of graphic identifier (ideally a small version of the target site's logo) so that visitors would be able to quickly recognize cross-linked content and where that link would direct them.
Ideally this would be a reciprocal process, so for instance the Cartographers' map of a user-created Age would link to the Archive here for additional information about the Age within the context of the game world, and to the section on the Writers' site for that Age.
Ongoing Projects
Ongoing projects are ones which have no foreseeable resolution because the work will likely never be fully completed. Typically these are maintenance-oriented tasks aimed at improving the quality of the content in the Archive.
Proofing Revisions
One of the most important tasks in the Archive in ensuring that all of the information provided is accurate; not just for new articles, but old ones as well. Any edits to existing articles should be reviewed for accuracy and compliance with the Guidelines for Submissions, and inaccuracies should be corrected as soon as possible.
Adding Images
The subject of many Archive entries have been visually represented by Cyan at some point, and whenever possible, an image should accompany the entry. Articles tagged with Requires Image are known to be missing an image, or have an outdated one. If you have time, please review this tag's entries and provide images, being sure to remove the "Requires Image" tag from the article before you re-submit it. If you find an article about something you know has a picture, please edit it and tag it with "Requires Image" if for any reason you are unable to provide one yourself.
Expanding Stubs
Archive entries tagged as a Stub are typically placeholders for an article that could be much more in-depth than it currently is. Short articles that happen to review all of the known information for a certain subject are not stubs; only those articles that should be more informative because they are missing information are classified as such. Please help improve the Archive by reviewing the articles tagged as stubs and expanding them if you can.
