It smells like hypocrisy… or bullshit…
[Mary] Cheney’s pregnancy has drawn fire from some conservatives, including James Dobson, chairman of the Focus on the Family lobbying group, who has clashed with the Bush administration in the past.
“We should not enter into yet another untested and far-reaching social experiment, this one driven by the desires of same-sex couples to bear and raise children,” Dobson said in a recent commentary published on the organization’s Web site.
However, he said his position was not meant to “harm or insult women such as Cheney and Poe.”

LOL, if it reads like it, looks like it, and smells like it, it likely is bullshit, ain’t it? I mean, come on, he’s talking out both sides of his mouth. Mind you, Canada isn’t much better, but we’re a bit ahead of you guys in respects to giving equal rights to same-sex couples. Marriage isn’t an ugly thought when two people love each other George….*sigh*
It’s awfully warm here in Ottawa for the third week of December. There is no snow, and it’s like early fall to walk outside. Bizarre. I want my white snow, and my twinkling lights with snow reflecting them. I guess this is global warming, in action. Scary thought for the ski hill operators who made a ton of snow. But when the temp. is +7 C, most of the snow is melting right off the hill. Sad, but true. When are the politicians in Washington going to WAKE up and see that we need to act NOW? Grrrrr……
