Distractions
Because I don’t yet wish to rant publically about how much I hate my job, I’m going to fill out a survey and leave the ranting for later, when I’m less likely to use words I’ll regret later (for as much as I let my guard down here, I really don’t like it when I start swearing like a sailor).

1. What color is most reflective of you?:
Hmm… blue, I guess. Probably a darker blue.
2. How did you get the idea for your deviantART name?
Ah, dA-centric surveys. Well, since my dA username is the same one I use everywhere else, I’ll go with the short answer to save space: I made it up.
3. First kiss?
If we’re gonna skip the rather clumsy, awkward one that Osc would like to forget about, I’ll go with after Mysterium 2003, so… I think it was August. Early August at that. Like, the 4th or something. I suck at dates.
4. Any song playing at the moment?
Not presently, for once, though there’s Star Wars music parading around in the back of my head. I need to pick up the Episode 3 soundtrack, and I’m debating whether or not to get it from iTunes… I like liner notes!
5. Has the death of a celebrity ever made you cry?
Not to my knowledge. But then, not much does anymore… I’ve detatched myself too much from the world. 
6.What color of clothes are you wearing?
white t-shirt and my khaki work pants.
7. Do you want a baby?
Not for a while yet, thank you very much.
8. What is your pet’s name?
Um, well, I don’t have a pet, but two names of former fish I owned were Cleo (courtesy of Disney’s Pinnochio), and Luke, who was a plecostomous placostimous sucker fish.
9. Can you raise one eyebrow?
Yep.
10. What’s your favorite restaurant?
Um… tie between Brio and Milo’s. 
11. Do you swear?
As I mentioned above, yes, but I often dislike it when I do so excessively.
12. What was the last concert you attended?
I don’t do concerts.
13. Who was with you?
I don’t do concerts.
14. What is/are your favorite subject(s)?
Umm… astronomy, geology… English to some extent… and anything to do with CG :).
15. Have you ever eaten Spam?
No. I have read a lot of it though, and contributed some as well. I feel dirty.
16. What food are you craving right now?
I’m not hungry at present.
17. Thing to do in the summer?
Visit Ash, get a job at Cyan (or Blizzard, if Cyan continues to cold-shoulder me…), and finally get the hell out of AMC.
18.What was the last tv show you watched?
Um… I think it was CNN’s morning news. If you’re looking for something I watched enthusiastically, rather than just something to calm me down a bit, I’d say it was CSI (the original series, on Spike TV).
19.What is your fave piece of jewelry?
My shark tooth / Ash’s ring necklace.
20. What is to the left of you?
my desk, my bed, my laptop, and my webcam, along with a wide assortment of tech stuff and garbage that needs to be evicted.
21. What was the last thing you ate?
A quarter pounder. I feel dirty again… 
22. Any close friends of the opposite sex?
Well, one, obviously… ;). A couple others are aquaintances, but I wouldn’t really call them “close”.
23. Write a song lyric that’s in your head?
I don’t think Star Wars has any actual lyrics I could write, but I could try my hand at a textual representation of an orchestral score…

24. What song is that from?
It’s the finale to the Star Wars Episode IV music right before and directly into the start of the credits. I’m a sad sad person, and you are too if you can actually figure out the orchestration from that mess ;).
25. Who was the last person you talked to?
Someone at work… Jon and John, actually. Whee.
26. How much money will you bring when you are out?
It varies, but usually between nothing and 60 in cash, plus my plastic. Whee.

28. How many cereals in your cabinet?
I don’t keep track of the stockpiles of cereal mom has created in the event of some nuclear holocaust or something… seriously, though, we probably keep Post’s Honey Bunches of Oats division in operation single-handedly…
29. Do you regularly check yourself out…?
I don’t even know what this is referring to… so I’ll just say no and move on. I shouldn’t fill out teeny-bopper surveys when I’m tired (nor should I try to spell… I almost wrote “servay” :P)
30. When was the last time you cut your hair?
Tomorrow.
31. Do you sleep with stuffed animals?
I did, but the five-inch-long tiger plushie is just no substitute for Osc…
32. Do you have a mental disease?
Probably a couple, not the least of which would be mild OCD (though you’d never know it from my room… O.o)
33. Have you watched a full episode of Barney & Friends?
Once or twice. In the Dark Ages of Youth when Such Things were Cool…

Ash says I can, I say I burn instant mashed potatoes.
35. What languages do you speak?
English. Ash’s mom thinks I still know Latin well enough to speak sentences (I don’t, honestly, if I ever even did in the first place, languages do not become me), and I know a couple words in D’ni. Go me.

36. When you are doing your dishes in the toilet, what would you do?
Why would I be doing dishes in the toilet? I’ll leave that to Ursula after she fills up her coffee cup.
37. First time you listened to rap music?
If “Men in Black” doesn’t count, then when we had Eminem’s 8-mile soundtrack sampled on the music at work. Oy.
38. Do you gamble?
No.
39. How tall are you?
6′1″ or thereabouts.
40. Any recent annoyances?
I reserve this answer for a later blog entry :P. To summarize in one word or less, though: people.
