Crazy People
I am never driving on a Friday ever again…
Okay, maybe that’s a tad extreme, but holy CRAP there were a ton of utter MORONS on the road today! I even managed to get rear-ended by one of them, how lovely. And in my brand new truck too. Needless to say I was more than a little pissed off, but fortunately, the Neon that hit me took all of the damage… Sten (the truck, yes I named it, shut up) just needs some cosmetics done on the rear bumper to get the scrapes and scratches out. I love high-riding vehicles… But still, beyond that I watched at least 20 other cars cause near misses, swerves, fast stops, or just plain swing across 3 lanes of a large exit ramp at high speed with absolutely no warning. Who the hell gives these people lisences? (and more importantly, how in the hell do they get INSURANCE?) Fortunately insurance is going to cover the bumper repair, and just as fortunately, both Stencil and I walked (well, maybe “came” is a better word) away with no serious injuries, despite being hit at about 25 MPH.
On a lighter note, however, I got my Christmas present for Ash printed at Kinko’s today so it’s done and I don’t have to worry about it anymore. Considering the quality of the image that they turned out, I might actually start offering prints for sale if I ever actually draw something that isn’t a free commission or deeply personal… Free commissions (aka requests) I would probably be more likely to offer prints of, but anything I do for personal reasons I’m not even sure I want to post publically online, much less sell prints of it.
My brother is involved in his school’s production of The Sound of Music… which is entertaining because it was my class’s senior play when I was in high school, and we both ended up getting the same part (mwahaha, no longer can he tease me about my incredibly stupid lines!). I saw their production tonight, and it was very well done. I was further ammused that two of the actors in my brother’s production were almost exact photocopies of the actors who played those parts in our production (referring to Max and Captain Von Trapp, btw). Anyways, congrats to his school for a wonderful production nonetheless.
I’m tired, Izac is running on overdrive, the official Uru forums seem to be getting over-run with morons and trolls, and both sides of me miss Ash so much it literally hurts. And I have 33 days to go before I can see her again. Damnit.
